Bring On The Bad Guys: Aliens, Thanos, & Darth Vader

Egads! Another molotov cocktail that's served as a kids drink. Say it isn't so! Say we don't have to suffer the bad guys again! Yes, sad for all of those within hearing range... you will submit!  Your lethal injection of mean is back with this month’s rendition of “Bring on the Bad Guys,” and once again we show that we don’t discriminate because of race, sex, color, or creed. If you’re rotten, you qualify. And there are many ways to qualify. It might be that you enjoy kicking cats. It might be that you eat people. Or...maybe it’s because you’re one of Satan’s soldiers. In any event, we flip through the PREVIEWS catalog each month to see who needs to be called out as a deviant, and then we explain why these people … or things … or whatever they are … shouldn’t be helped if you see them bleeding in the middle of the street.

Let us begin.

Star Wars: Darth Vader #1

He finds your lack of faith disturbing. His mission is to his Emperor, and if you are going to harp on the power of your technology and insignificant ion cannons aboard your Death Star rather than the power of the Force, then you are simply in the way. At best, a nuisance. At worst, an obstacle that needs to be removed. In Star Wars: Darth Vader #1 (APR171101) from writer Charles Soule and artist Giuseppe Camuncoli, the Dark Lord is taken back to his roots when having lost everything that was once dear to him, he decided on the dark path and was forever transformed by it. Join Vader as he learns a new way: the way of Darth Sidious and his newly formed Empire. It all starts in this first issue from Marvel Comics in the Premier Comics section of the April PREVIEWS catalog!

Aliens Covenant Movie Minimates Series 1

We all know that bad guys wear black hats. But what does it say when bad guys are just black .... period? Like, shadows-type black. Well, it means that the bad guy is so terrifying, the people behind the curtain that are about to roll out said-bad guy don't want you to have a heart attack right now. They want you to still wait a bit. Die from shock on their terms, essentially. That's the effect certain people are hoping for when Alien: Covenant hits the big screen. It's been a while since the ugly Xenomorphs terrified us in the movie theaters, and what better way to capitalize on that pain than to release the Aliens Covenant Movie Minimates Series 1 (APR172627) that will include four different two-packs based on the film? Each 2-inch Minimates mini-figure features 14 points of articulation and fully interchangeable parts and accessories. Look for it in the Diamond Select Toys section of the April  PREVIEWS catalog!

The Dark Knight: The Joker "Bank Robber" MAF Ex Figure

Some men don't fight for money. Some men dont' kill for honor. Some men just want to see the world burn. But before the flames touch the sky, they'll sneak in and steal all the money in the house (or the bank). Then they'll push the detonator to watch the roof collapse. Such a person was never better personified than in actor Heather Ledger's performance as the Clown Prince of Crime in The Dark Knight. It was a performance that earned him a posthumous Academy Award, the only actor to ever receive such an award other than David Finch. This figure is a testament to Ledger's legacy, and comes with a duffle bag, pistol, and removable clown mask. Let Ledger's legacy live long with The Dark Knight: The Joker "Bank Robber" MAF Ex Figure (AUG158611) that you can find in the Import Toys, Statues, and Models section of the April PREVIEWS catalog!
