When Worlds Collide was one of science-fiction's first "disaster" novels; two planets - Bronson Alpha and Bronson Beta - entered the solar system, and Alpha was on a collision course for Earth. Plans were made to evacuate some of Earth's population to Bronson Beta, and that planet settled into a habitable orbit about the sun. In 1951 visionary director George Pal brought this classic novel to the screen, and this 15" model recreates the Space Ark rocket employed by humanity to escape the Earth's destruction. Based on Paramount's original studio model, this rocket features fins, launch railing, pillars, and a movie logo display base.
