Tripwire's full color relaunch continues, as the magazine turns its focus to Joss Whedon and his new
Firefly series! In this Joss Whedon special, the magazine will be getting the full lowdown on the new series, talking to its producers as well as Whedon himself. It'll also be looking at the future of
Buffy the Vampire Slayer and
Angel. Rick Veitch reveals all about the new
Aquaman series and Greg Rucka and Ed Brubaker talk about DC's
Gotham Central series.
Tripwire also takes a look back at 2002, nominating the successes and the stinkers in the worlds of comics, TV, film, and animation. There'll also be Ashley Wood's Illustrators, "Studio Space" (a look at comic illustrators and painters, with John Van Fleet this time around), "Launchpad" (
Tripwire's focus on new talent), "Company Profile" on Oregon's Dark Horse Comics, "What Were They Thinking?" (a look at the comic, film, and TV series that should never have been), "Sounding Off," "Past Perfect" (retro looks at comic and film classics), and much more! Under the powerhouse design team of superstar illustrator Ashley Wood (
Automatic Kafka,
Sam & Twitch,
Pop Bot) and Tom Muller,
Tripwire will be the only genre magazine you'll need! (Tripwire) Magazine, 96pg, FC
