Mad Cave Studios Raises Nearly $13,000 for Comic Book Retailers
Jun 01, 2020
Back in March, at the dawn of a quarantine that swept the globe, comic book publisher Mad Cave Studios launched the Comic Book Retailer COVID-19 Relief Fund with the goal to help out U.S. comic book shops that had been temporarily shuttered, if not still closed for business, amidst the pandemic.
The fundraiser was created to provide a one-time donation to help mitigate health risks, keep comic shop employees on the payroll, and ultimately keep the businesses we all love going. In total, Mad Cave Studios proudly raised $12,964, which has been evenly distributed to shops most affected by this crisis.
“On behalf of Mad Cave, we want to thank those out there who shared, supported, and donated to our COVD-19 Relief Fund for Comic Book Retailers,” said Mad Cave CEO Mark London. “We’re delighted with the support and encouragement you showed across these two months. You should be very proud. And thanks to each and every one of you, we were able to help provide some support to 85 stores across the country that joined the program. Whether your stores have reopened or not, we hope this will help alleviate a small amount of the stress you, and the true champions of this industry may be facing.”
