2017 Glyph Award Winners Announced

The Glyph Comics Awards recognize the best in comics made by, for, and about people of color from the preceding calendar year. The award is not exclusive to black creators, however, it strives to honor those who have made the greatest contributions to the comics medium critcally and commercially. The goal of the award is to encourage more diverse and high quality comic creation across the board and to inspire new creators.
The awards honor several different categories including Best Story, Best Cover, Best Writer, and Best Artist. On May 19th, the award ceremony was held in Philadelphia and named ten winners including March Book 3, Black #1, and Black Panther. For a full list of the 2017 Glyph Award winners, see below:
