Gotham Casts Maria Kyle, Catwoman’s Mom

There could be a cat-astrophic reunion on Gotham. The FOX show announced that Banshee star Ivana Milicevic is joining the show as Maria Kyle, Selina’s absentee mother.
It’s no surprise that Maria will be a tough character with plenty of street smarts. She is a criminal and drifter who will use anything and anyone to achieve her goals. Her only weakness is the daughter she abandoned.
Mama Kyle has appeared sporadically in DC comics in Catwoman’s childhood flashbacks, so Gotham can bring plenty of original creativity to the character.
FOX did not announce how many episodes Milicevic will be in, however, the part is described as a recurring role.
In addition to playing Carrie on Banshee, Milicevic’s TV credits include appearances on Power, Eastwick, Fallen, and Love Monkey, among others.
