Amazon Picks Up The Tick for Full Season

Amazon Studios is green lighting several entries in its pilot season this year, including The Tick live action series. Starring Peter Serafinowicz as The Tick, the new series is a bit of a departure from the previous live action incarnation that aired on Fox and starred Patrick Warburton. Amazon Studios' Head of Half-Hour Series Joe Lewis said, “these pilots were vast in scope, disruptive in tone, challenging in story and sometimes even funny. It’s rewarding to see customers embrace them in such a huge way. We can’t wait to premiere these series next year on Prime Video.” The Tick will have its first season premiere in 2017.
