Jul 12, 2016
In an exclusive from Variety, Fox has announced that there are plans to create a new live action action adventure series based in the Marvel Universe. The network has made a pilot commitment for the series from writer Matt Nix. The currently untitled series would follow a family who finds their children have mutant powers and go on the run to protect them.
20th Century Fox and Marvel Television are co-producing the series with Bryan Singer and Jeph Loeb as executive producers. Jeph Loeb commented on the news, “Marvel Television is thrilled to be co-producing with 20th Century Fox Television on our first project. Matt’s a huge fan of ‘X-Men’ and his take on the ‘X-Men’ universe, with its rich characters and high-stakes adventure, is exactly the show we want on Fox. It’s a great team of creative producers who will be making something entirely unique.”
