Archie & The Pussycat — And It’s Not Josie
Dec 22, 2011
Archie's in love — again! A quadrilateral love triangle kicks into full gear when Valerie Brown — the tambourinist from Josie and the Pussycats — moves back in with her parents in Archie #631 (scheduled to be in comic shops March 28).
Valerie has her sights on getting back together with her redheaded ex-boyfriend, Archie. Will she succeed? The girl’s got curves! Offered in the January edition of PREVIEWS — the issue following the last part of “Archie Meets Kiss” story arc — this issue mimics the best-selling Life with Archie magazine formula in that it takes a look at a possible future for everyone’s favorite teenager as Archie marries Valerie!
"The fans can expect the next step in what I think is the most romantic story in Archie history," says Dan Parent, the writer and artist of the Archie Comics title. "The chemistry between Archie and Valerie was hot the first time they got together, and now you've really got to see it simmer, all the way from the rekindling of their romance to getting much more serious than we've seen before."
The new arc features story and art by Archie Meets Kiss artist Dan Parent. Look for Archie #632, presenting the second part of the story – "With This Ring…" – in February’s PREVIEWS catalog.
