A goblin working at Gringotts Wizarding Bank, Griphook was the first goblin Harry Potter ever met, and led him to the Potter family vault. Like many goblins, he went on the run when Voldemort took over the Ministry of Magic, and helped Harry, Ron, and Hermione to break into Gringotts and steal the Cup of Helga Hufflepuff.
