In a continuation of its 25th Anniversary publishing celebration, Cinefex delves into an examination of the state of the business of visual effects as discussed by some two dozen of the industry's leading authorities. Also an examination of The Aviator, which tells the story of billionaire eccentric Howard Hughes. Learn how director Martin Scorsese turned to visual effects supervisor Rob Legato and artists at Sony Pictures Imageworks and New Deal Studios. Also under the microscope is Son of the Mask, a sequel to the 1994 Jim Carrey comedy. Visual effects for the film, including a CG infant and a variety of wacky transformations, are being created by Industrial Light & Magic, Tippett Studio, Kleiser-Walczak and Captive Audience.
