Rick Remender is the writer/creator of comics such as Fear Agent, The End League, Strange Girl, Black Heart Billy, Last Days of American Crime, Sea of Red, Sorrow, Night Mary, XXXombies and Doll and Creature, and has also written titles such as Booster Gold, The Atom, Red Sonja, and Battlestar Galactica.
In 2009 Rick signed an exclusive contract with Marvel Comics and is currently the writer of the publisher's popular new Punisher series, as well as the forthcoming Doctor Voodoo and a Thunderbolts special. Last year Rick added his love of pulpy science fiction stories as a writer on the Electronic Arts game Dead Space, and is currently lead writer on an exciting new game yet to be announced.
During his decade grinding as an artist, Rick penciled books such as The Last Christmas, Bruce Campbell's Man with the Screaming Brain, and numerous issues of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He also produced album covers for bands such as NOFX, 3 Inches of Blood, Lagwagon and No Use for a Name.
Prior to that ridiculousness, Remender served as an animator on films such as The Iron Giant, Anastasia, Titan A.E., and Rocky and Bullwinkle, and also severed as director on the cartoon series Swing Town that he co-created.
He and his tea-sipping wife, Danni, currently reside in Portland with their new baby girl.

Rick Remender, what are you reading?
ASTERIOS POLYP (Random House)
David Mazzucchelli is one of the reasons I’m in comics. When he left mainstream to go produce more personal works, I remembered expecting an avalanche of material. His work has been sparse since, but all of it brilliant; all of it an investigation into sequential art and each new style boiled down leading to his current, almost symbolic, state. Asterios Polyp is smart and engrossing. ($29.99 / MAR094389)

IVAN BRANDON’S VIKING (Image Comics)
Ivan Brandon makes it look so easy; the subtle character building gives the action a real feeling of importance. It’s fast-paced, fun, and the cliffhangers are great as well, always leaves on a compelling moment. (Collected Editions Forthcoming)
FANCY FROGLIN'S SEXY FOREST GN (Alternative Comics)
Re-read it a few times. It’s such a wonderfully ridiculous, stream of consciousness, joy with no pretence. James Kochalka makes you want to get up and make comics — he captures all the energy that got me making them as a kid, and I bet he has more fun than the rest of us! ($12.95 / STAR19473)
