With thirty-three publishers and over seventy creators on board, Epiphany Engine is less of a crossover and more of a feat of sequential artistry. Featuring fan-favorites like Rodney Barnes, Sean Damien Hill, N. Steven Harris, Colleen Douglas, and more -- by sheer scale, Epiphany Engine is the biggest crossover event in all of comics.

In the following interviews, publisher Tony Kittrell gives us an exclusive glimpse into the indie event of the year.

EPIPHANY ENGINE feels truly inspired. Where did this premise come from?

The premise came from a diehard comic book fan named Hershel Lewis who had recorded a Tiktok video that tagged me and some other Black Comic Publishers in it. In it, he spoke on Black Panther and War of the Independents #2 which both had a huge collection of Black Superheroes come together for those stories then proposed that current Black Comic Publishers Unite to do something similar for fans of today.  I thought and posed the question to other publishers & creators who were overwhelmingly supportive of the idea and what was to become the EPIPHANY ENGINE project was formed.

The line-up of publishers is impressive? Who can we expect to see show up?

Over 40 Black Indie Comics Publishers such as Advent Comics, Godhood Comics, Konkret Comics, Second Sight Publishing, Stranger Comics and many others are coming into this crossover event.

Tell us more about Abyzylom.

Ah, Abzylom is a mystery wrapped up in an enigma to use an old expression. What his mo,tives and goals are remain unknown but what I can say is that he is a formidable, new villain who will have folks talking.

In terms of jumping on, for those discovering these characters for the first time, will we get an opportunity to really get to know them during this massive event?

Yes there will be a chance for those that have never encountered these characters before to get to know them.  I am currently working on the method how to best do that.

If there is one thing that you want people to know about the new EPIPHANY ENGINE, what would it be?

This will be a very special event and we will celebrate with a special Kickstarter campaign for EPIPHANY ENGINE that will launch next month on June 19, 2024 (Juneteenth). There will be special exclusives and items available to backers.
