Firstly, what is your name and where do you hail from?
Absolutely! I’m Alessandro Vitti and I come from Italy, specifically from Taranto. It’s a beautiful sea city in the South of my country.
How did you get into comic books as a fan?
I got into comic books when I was 9 years old with an Italian edition of Captain America.
I never stopped reading comic books since that moment.
What can you tell us about THE JONESES? What are they about?
I loved this experience and this family.
I really felt their problems and their struggle to use and control their new situation and superpowers in their normal lives.
Everyone member of the family has a personal situation with the people of their generation: friends, school, jobs... everything seemed so real for me.
I think that The RESISTANCE UNIVERSE is very near to my idea of a real view of a world with superheroes.
How did you get involved with AWA as an artist?
Axel Alonso was my editor in the past and during a San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, him and (Senior Editor) Michael Coast invited me to work together again.
This was great for me, and I was honored for this invitation to be part of this group.
What tools do you use to draw?
I use Cintiq to do layouts and then I use rough sheets and normal pencils to do the panels and their interior details.
The last step is the lightbox to do the inks on a new sheet to have clear lines with brushes and ink pens.
