This week's Get Graphic comes to you courtesy of...Instagram!
The funny thing about "IG" (as the not-quite-kids call it) is that it excels at two very particular things: Ads and finding comic book artists. The latter is how I stumbled upon Ivan Fiorelli. While Ivan's work was new to me, his 14,000+ followers clearly know a good thing when they see it.
As you'll soon discover, Ivan's a phenomenal artist. His style looks like it's been pulled from your favorite school day afternoon Cartoon Network adventure. And, best of all, he's an X-Men fan. Like, a legit X-Men fan! Keep reading...
"My name is Ivan, I am a comic book artist and concept artist for video games and animation. I come from a small town in Tuscany and I've been living in Milan for about ten years now." - Ivan Fiorelli
"Ever since I was little, drawing has been my favorite hobby, better than playing with my Street Sharks puppets and Pokèmon games. I would make up stories and characters and then draw them, hence becoming a cartoonist was a natural course of events! I never really questioned what I wanted to be when I grew up." -Ivan Fiorelli

"I attended a school of comics in Milan, where I met various professionals who, in addition to having taught me "the job", have directed me to several publishers including Sergio Bonelli Editore, the number 1 publisher for serial comics in Italy, that took me in their stable of authors when I was barely 24 years old." -Ivan Fiorelli
"Concept art and designing characters has always been one of my core passions, and redesigning well-known characters such as the X-Men with your own style is a bit like being a chef willing to reinterpret well-known dishes: you love them as they are, but being a chef yourself gives you the impulse to want to remake them in your own way, adding new ingredients to the recipe and hoping that the outcome will be pleasing to everyone, especially you, without distorting the source material." -Ivan Fiorelli
"This is a complex question, because I've been a fan for a long time, and picking only one would be too hard. If I had to choose, I'd probably pick Age of Apocalypse (being Joe Madureira one of my heroes) and House of X/Power of X." -Ivan Fiorelli
"I love to draw robots, monsters, demons, and super-powered characters, and I also like to draw characters from cartoons and comics that entertained me when I was a kid. Occasionally, I also develop my own characters and I try my hand at personal projects that encapsulate everything I like, even though this part is currently on hold." -Ivan Fiorelli
"The project I worked on that I'm more proud of is "Freedom Five: A Sentinel Comics Board Game" by Arcane Wonders, a project that has been successfully funded on Kickstarter last year, nearly reaching 1 Million dollars, and on which I worked as Lead Artist. The game has strong references to the superhero genre, and this allowed me to have a lot of fun when working on it, allowing me to contribute to the realization of most of the artistic content of the game." -Ivan Fiorelli
