Batman #64

The smartest detective in the world still might be biting off more than he can chew when he goes up against the Scarlet Speedster in Batman #64 (DEC180510). After all, no matter the plan, you have to execute it in order for it to work, right? So how do you get the jump on physically doing anything when you're opponent can see what you're doing in the ticks between seconds? This is the Dark Knight's dilemma in this issue in which the two heroes must combat a demon from the past while burying their own inner demons in the process. Look for "The Last Cold Case" Part One in Batman #64 which you can find in the December issue of DC PREVIEWS!

Detective Comics: 80 Years Of Batman Deluxe Edition HC

Where would we be today if it wasn't for the Dark Knight's detective skills? Over the past eight decades, Batman has shown he's a man of the people. He believes justice cuts both ways. Unlike those who rule above us, he is the one with his feet on the ground. A rock solid fighter who many would argue simply refuses to die. And that is his appeal. Detective Comics: 80 Years Of Batman Deluxe Edition HC (JUN188670) revisits classic stories from comics from the 1930s onward, featuring some of Batman's greatest allies and villains and work from some of the greatest creators. Plus, published for the first time anywhere is a new tale of a traumatic early moment in Bruce Wayne's life written by Paul Levitz with art by Denys Cowan and Bill Sienkiewicz. Look for this top shelf collectible in the December issue of DC PREVIEWS!

Batman/The Maxx: Arkham Dreams HC

Twisted beyond belief is one way to describe Batman/The Maxx: Arkham Dreams HC (DEC180782). It all starts with a devious demented doctor at Arkham Asylum that thinks unconventional experiments into the human psyche are permissable if the subject happens to be The Maxx. It's all in the name of science, after all. But little does Doctor Feelgood realize that his good intentions will set off a chain reaction of disaster which will bring into the mix Harley Quinn, the Penguin, Killer Croc, and, of course, the Joker. Look for this bombastic tale by Sam Kieth in the December issue of the PREVIEWS comic shop catalog!

DC Gallery: Arkham Asylum Batman Cowl

Here's a golden rule to remember when it's your turn to take out the city trash. For those who do a crime? They have to do the time. Those who think they can just roam about with pipes, knives, and revolvers, and prey on city citizens because it's what they like to do in their spare time. Yeah, not on your watch. When it's your time to play street cleaner, you dress for success. So there's no better head gear to wear than the DC Gallery: Arkham Asylum Batman Cowl (AUG188732). This version of the Dark Knights cowl is based on the Batman: Arkham Asylum video game. Of course, you can't really wear it, though, because its a 1:2 scale bust-style polyresin statue. But you can use it as reference for desiging your own battle helmet. Just beware of copyright. Hey, shoot high but fly low, you know? Or is it go big or go home? Anyway, look for this top shelf prize in the December DC PREVIEWS!
