DC Embraces Bendis' Young Justice

It was at DC's "Meet the Publishers" panel at this year's New York Comic Con when artist Patrick Gleason was announced as the illustrator for DC's Young Justice #1 (NOV180376). The panel then went on to confirm that Tim Drake, Conner Kent, and Bart Allen would be the frontrunners on the book, and the Young Justice team would be the flagship launch of Brian Michael Bendis' Wonder Comics line. To create a team book that tasted of both sugar and arsenic, the series was made to include a number of new heroes, including Jennie Hex, Teen Lantern, and an unknown wild card named Naomi.

The book is evolving, Bendis explained, so while fans of Young Justice will initially be elated, fans of Legion should remain patient. Good things come to those who wait.
