On today's Throwback Thursday, we're staying hyped for the release of the Aquaman trailer by taking a look at one of the most sought-after toys of the The King of the Seven Seas.

In 1978, Mego released the Aquaman vs. The Great White Shark play set and today it is now one of the most difficult collectibles to come by. In fact, it sold for $1,025 at auction courtesy of our friends at Hake's Americana & Collectibles.

The set featured Aquaman in his classic orange suit and included a 14 inch shark figure as well. The shark had a battery opperated motor that allowed it to swim in the water and open its jaws when confronted with any object. Aquaman's posable arms allowed him to tag allow on the shark's tail for a ride.
