Accolades For An Angel Artist
Nov 09, 2017
Did you know that the penultimate issue of Angel Season 11 is coming out on November 22? Yep. Angel Season 11 #11 (SEP170042) is about to hit the comic shops, and show how Angel, Fred, and Illyria are at a new crossroads, and barely keeping it together. Dark Horse is telling us to tie ourselves to an anchor as something big is about to happen — but we already had our big moment at this year's New York Comic Con when we were able catch up with series artist Geraldo Borges!
The folks at Dark Horse Comics were kind enough to let us speak to Mr. Borges at their booth, where at the time we were harping on how the previous issues were collected in Angel Season 11 Volume 1: Out Of The Past TP (APR170086).
"It's an honor to work with a Joss Whedon character," Borges noted. "If you see my style, my style is not the likeness of the actors. But I try to tell a story as best as I can."
Humbled by the opportunity to work on Whedon's Angel book, and passionate about the energy he tries to bring to each and every page of the book, Geraldo does his best to make every panel dynamic. His mission: to make his pages look like a camera on the set panning left, right, up, and down. But don't take our word for it, check out the above YouTube video to hear Geraldo Borges in his own words, and look for the upcoming Angel Season 11 #11 (SEP170042) in shops November 22!
