Bigger & Better Baltimore Comic Con

It’s billed as America’s Greatest Comic Con, and with 18 years of fans flocking to it in downtown Baltimore we thought it was time to give the man who promotes it a few minutes to explain what people will experience when they hit this year’s Baltimore Comic Con September 22-24.

In this PREVIEWSworld Exclusive interview, Baltimore Comic Con Promoter Marc Nathan touches on what vendors and entertainment will comprise this year’s show, with some of the guests including young Bruce Wayne and Alfred (David Mazouz and Sean Pertwee) from Gotham, Iron Fist and Colleen Wing (Finn Jones and Jessica Henwick) from The Defenders, Frank Miller, and Wonder Woman herself, the stunning Lynda Carter.

“We actually tried 15-16 years ago to do this with her (Carter)…and it just wasn’t her time,” Nathan explains. “But her agency contacted us in May, and it moved that fast. It was really good.”

What’s also good are comic book publishers in attendance, which include Archie Comics, BOOM! Comics, AfterShock, Dynamite Entertainment, Valiant Entertainment, and IDW Publishing. Visitors to the show will also be pleased that merchandisers will include (among others) Graphitti Designs.

“We’re also adding a massive food court this year,” Nathan continued. “We’re taking the hall next to ours, and it’s going to be open for extra food and tables. Muffins. Donuts. Brand food, too. Papa Johns!”

With so many comic book retailers, vendors, munchies, and top shelf media guests at this year’s event, all are encouraged to check out the show’s web site for more details as they develop.
