Mr. Higgins Comes Home

Gothic gloom which chokes vampire stories is at its peak in the new graphic novel Mr. Higgins Comes Home (JUN170024) from Mike Migonla and Warwick Johnson. This horror tale from Dark Horse Comics is dipped in melancholy, sorrow, and heartache as a widower who wants nothing more than to forget the tragedy that took his wife's life is not left alone to his own self-pity. Two vampire hunters eager to make their mark on the world will not accept "no" for an answer, and do their utmost to recruit the mysterious Mr. Higgins to aid in the eradication of all bloodsuckers. It is not a happy story. It will make you lose faith in whatever universal balance should be reserved for humanity. This is the kind of story you read when you're ready to take that final dirt nap. Woe to Mr. Higgins. And woe to you if you dont' search out this Gem of the Month in the Premier section of the June PREVIEWS catalog!

There's the usual screaming, bashing your head against the wall, and rolling your eyes into the back of your head. But once you've run through the whole Exorcist routine, then what? Do you sit in pool of your own drool, and just babble incoherently until dehydration renders you catatonic? This book introduces you once again to undead girl Ghouliana, who offers intricate pen and ink illustrations for you to color using any crayon or pencil of choice. Bernie Wrightson Artifact Edition HC

He earned the title of "Master of the Macabre" for a reason. His artwork defied description. The line work was something you had never seen before, and probably would never see again. All you have to do is see "Frankenstein" to be convinced that black-and-white does horror justice more than any color scheme or gory special effect. Wrightson came to prominence because of his ground-breaking work in the DC Comics Mystery books, and his legendary artistic turn on Swamp Thing that he produced with writer Len Wein. To cement his place in horror comics history, IDW Publishing has produced the Bernie Wrightson Artifact Edition HC (JUN170552) to produce rare and unseen treasures from the artist who is never compared to anyone, but will always be the bar to climb for any generation of illustrators. Artwork which spans a career of fifty years is yours to enjoy in this hardcover collectible which you'll find in the Premier Comics section of the June PREVIEWS catalog.

Alien Convenant Xenomorph Bust Bank

A face only a mother could love! But that's not to say that ol' ugly here doesn't have value. Utility is everything, and with the Alien Convenant Xenomorph Bust Bank (JUN172644) at your disposal you can rest assured that whatever cash or coins you store in this bank, few if any will dare try to put their hands into this cookie jar. Who would want to risk having their hand too close to the open maw of this beastie? After all, this is the new and improved xenomorph that was seen in the Alien: Convenant movie, and it's faster and meaner than the ol' grandad that we first saw in 1979's Alien. Sculpted by Eli Livingston, this bank from Diamond Select Toys features a coin slot on the back, and an access door in the base. Look for it in the Diamond Select Toys section of the June PREVIEWS catalog. Just follow the sounds of screaming.

The Walking Dead: Michonne's Pet Walkers 1/6 Scale Figure Twin Pack

Here's how you determine which team player can best help you get through the zombie apocalypse in one piece. If he or she runs at the mouth, odds are they're all talk and no action. But if he or she shows up with a couple of zombies that have been sliced and diced so that they're now re-purposed as hired help, odds are that this is a person that can help you get things done. And they're awesome in a fight. And you don't want to cross them. Ever. That was the first impression everyone got when they first saw Michonne make her debut on AMC's The Walking Dead. Who hasn't wanted a Michonne figure since then? But now the zombies that she had in tow are now yours to collect, too, with The Walking Dead: Michonne's Pet Walkers 1/6 Scale Figure Twin Pack (FEB179016) which are fully articulated, allowing for all sorts of poses. Both figures stand approximately 11" in height. You can find them in the Import Toys/Statues/Models section of the June PREVIEWS catalog!
