Image Comics 'The Pro' Gets Movie Deal with Paramount

Paramount Pictures has acquired the rights to Image Comics' The Pro by Garth Ennis, Amanda, Conner, and Jimmy Palmiotti. While many details are still being worked out, Erwin Stoff of 3 Arts is set to produce the film with Zoe McCarthy (Bitches On A Boat) to write the screenplay.

First published in 2002, The Pro follows the life of a prostitute who wakes up one day with superhero powers. Soon after realizing her powers, she is asked to join the League of Honor to help curb her anti-heroic behavior. The plucky heroine comes up against a fearsome challenge: a super-powered "soiled dove" whose powers of perversion exceed the Pro's own!
