A Big Mess In Gail Simone's Clean Room
Oct 01, 2016
Clean Room is a psychological horror book from DC’s Vertigo. It’s the kind of reading you do when the lights are low and you’ve had little sleep, but you keep your eyes open because the train wreck in front of you delivers the gore hot and fresh. Not to mention, due to lack of sleep, your mind is more prone to wander, and drift, and consider what Gail Simone is writing as a door to possible madness that can pull you into a closet— where no one can hear you scream. No one dares go into the Clean Room. It’s far too messy.
“It’s a book I’m doing with Jon Davis-Hunt, who is from England, and he’s a video game designer…who stopped doing video games just to do this book!” Simone explains in the interview. “The images will be burned into your brain forever!”
In this PREVIEWSworld interview Gail talks about her new book that she’s doing about a global self-help organization. On the surface: it’s the road to good intentions. Underneath: a true highway to hell.
