DC Reveals First Page of Suicide Squad By Jim Lee

Next month, the new SUICIDE SQUAD series will makes its debut -- and now, DC announces that the series with include new backup stories!
Each issue will feature a twelve- to thirteen-page lead story written by Rob Williams and illustrated by Jim Lee and Scott Williams, plus a seven to eight page backup story illustrated by top comics talent that will spotlight individual members of the team.
"Given how frequently the issues will be coming out, Rob and I were inspired to do a modern take on the old movie serials and deliver super fast paced, high-octane, cliffhanger driven, extended bursts of story every two weeks," says Jim Lee. "The backup features will allow Rob to spotlight individual Squad members and collaborate with a slew of superstar talent to create amazing stories designed to resonate and support the main features."
SUICIDE SQUAD #1 will feature a seven-page backup story written by Rob Williams with art by Jason Fabok.
In this "Personnel File" tale, Amanda Waller confronts Deadshot with a painful memory of a past mission with Batman-a mission with that scarred Floyd Lawton's own family, and one that forever linked his destiny with the Dark Knight.
Issue #1's thirteen-page lead story is written by Williams, with art and cover by Jim Lee and Scott Williams. In "The Black Vault" part one, when a mysterious and definitely super-important cosmic item falls out of the heavens and into enemy hands, America has only one option: Task Force X, Amanda Waller's strike team of incarcerated super-criminals. A one-stop-shop for plausibly deniable espionage and ultra-violence, this "Suicide Squad" only handles missions they're not expected to survive!
SUICIDE SQUAD #1 (JUN160230) is on Final Order Cutoff on July 25 with August 17 on-sale date.
