How many comic book publishers have lasted thirty years, much less doing so producing material they enjoy publishing for their fans? In the 30 year history of AC Comics Bill Black – its founder, publisher, writer, artist, and editor – has made sure the books he publishes are books he enjoys reading, and he knows AC comics fans will as well.
Obviously with a title called Femforce you expect a lot of female characters and Bill delivers, from Ms Victory, She-cat, Tara, Nightveil, Stardust and Synn to Buckaroo Betty, Colt and Rad you got more than you expected.
With Femforce #162 Bill Black returns to scripting with "Here Come the Commandos!" and we learn the “true origin" of Rad. We get a She-Cat in solo action in the Middle East, and least you think Femforce is all about the gals there is Team Paragon action featuring long time AC Comics hero Captain Paragon.
AC Comics is Bill and Rebekah Black and Mark Heike who has handled writing and illustrating stories over the 30 years of Femforce. The cover art by Brad Gorby adds to this anniversary issue as Brad was one of my favorite artists to ever work at AC comics and, like most of the folks at AC, never received enough recognition for their accomplishments.
Now at 30 years and with many more to come you get to enjoy the same action filled stories without any being forced angst driven derivative stories from the big corporate publishers who have forgotten their longtime fans.
Enjoy Femforce #162 to read a comic for fun. Now if only Dr. Weir and the Vault of Heroes could return, that would really be dynamite!
