Superman Becomes A Global Citizen

Action-Comics-#900-cover

Blogs and web sites are buzzing since the release of Action Comics #900, which went on sale Wednesday, April 4th. The fury is over a couple of panels in which the Man of Steel has expressed his intention to renounce his U.S. citizenship. So the question is whether or not Superman is still about truth, justice, and the American way. What say the fans?

We here at PREVIEWSworld would love to hear your thoughts on this story in Action Comics #900. Feel free to leave comments on our Facebook page, or contact us on our Twitter site, and let us hear your opinions.

Is David Goyer's piece in which Superman gets involved in riots in Tehran controversial, or a breath of fresh air? Iran, Tehran, and President Ahmadinajad are all placed in the story. Is this just another prime example of art imitating life, or are we seeing a re-emergence of the Authority-isation of mainstream comics?
