Netflix To Develop Film Based on BOOM! Studios' "Last Sons of America"

In the not too distant future, Americans are no longer able to conceive and children have become a valuable commodity around the globe. Brothers Jackie and Julian (Dinklage) are operating as adoption agents in Colombia, securing deals with families willing to give their children up for a presumably better life in America. When the brothers suddenly find themselves with their backs against the wall, Jackie makes a grave mistake that sends them spiraling into a dark mystery at the root of their world’s status quo; a mystery much darker than they might be able to bear.
Josh Mond (JAMES WHITE) will adapt and direct the project for the studio. Matt Reeves and Adam Kassan will Produce for 6th & Idaho, Peter Dinklage and David Ginsberg for Estuary Films, and Ross Richie and Stephen Christy for BOOM! Studios.
Golden Globe and multiple Emmy Award Winner Peter Dinklage will star in the feature film.
Rafi Crohn from 6th & Idaho and Adam Yoelin from BOOM! Studios are Executive Producers.
6th & Idaho and BOOM! Studios are currently in pre-production on MOUSE GUARD for 20th Century Fox, where BOOM! Studios has a first look deal. Matt Reeves has a first look deal at Netflix for his production company, 6th & Idaho.

Studios’ diverse array of projects in development for film, including Mouse Guard at Fox with Wes Ball (The Maze Runner trilogy) set to direct with Matt Reeves (The Batman) producing; Goldie Vance at Fox with Rashida Jones (Angie Tribeca) to adapt and direct with Kerry Washington (Scandal) producing; Imagine Agents at Fox with Richie Keen directing and Shawn Levy (Stranger Things) producing; Irredeemable at Fox with Adam McKay (The Big Short) producing and directing, the 2018 Eisner Award-nominated Bolivar at Fox with Shawn Levy producing; and groundbreaking worldwide YA phenomenon Lumberjanes at Fox. For television, BOOM! Studios has multiple series in development including Old City Blues at Hulu with Kerry Washington (Scandal) attached to star and executive produce the series, along with Gore Verbinski (Pirates of The Caribbean, Rango) attached to direct and executive produce the series; and the GLAAD Media Award-winning The Woods at Syfy with Brad Peyton (San Andreas) set to direct and executive produce the pilot.
