CLASSIC COMIC CHARACTERS #31 SHMOO STATUE

DARK HORSE COMICS
STAR16180
.html
In 1948, Al Capp introduced the Shmoo in his popular "Li'l Abner" strip and it truly took the nation by storm. The Shmoo was a lovable tub of glub whose bewhiskered smile was a as cute as his button eyes. The Shmoo bred with a speed that would put rabbits to shame, consumed essentially nothing, and provided most everything that humankind could wish for. Besides producing both milk and eggs, its meat was pork when roasted, chicken when fried, and steak when broiled. During its heyday the Shmoo inspired one of the first true licensed-product bonanzas; appearing as a cornucopia of products that spawned as fast as the Shmoos themselves. This statue comes packaged in a full-color tin box with pinback This piece is limited to only 600 numbered copies, so allocation may occur. On sale June 12
