**********
Please tell us a bit about yourself!
I’ve been writing comics for more than 25 years, starting with a run on Silver Surfer from Marvel, then Green Lantern for DC, Witchblade for Top Cow/Image, and everything in between, including IDW, Dark Horse, Valiant, CrossGen, Aspen, and more. In addition to continuing to write, I'm also Editor-in-Chief for Ominous Press.
What are your favorite projects you’ve contributed to over the past decade?
In the last decade, I was fortunate to have Top Cow let me run with a number of their properties, including Witchblade, Magdalena, Artifacts, and Velocity. I wrote The Protectors for AthlitaComics, a true indie publisher started by ex-NFL player Israel Idonije. I’ve also done creator-owned projects like Shinku at Image, Dragon Prince at Top Cow.
What are you currently working on?
Dread Gods and Demi-God for Ominous/IDW, Fathom for Aspen, Beasts of the Black Hand for Ominous Press, and a few other titles that are still to be announced.
What fun titles are you reading?
My favorite thing on the stands right now is Ragnarok (Vol. 1: Last God Standing / JUN170574) by Walter Simonson, from IDW. It’s Walter doing what he does best — pure storytelling on an epic scale — but never losing the emotional depth for the characters. I’m a big history buff, so I’ve been enjoying Rough Riders (Vol. 1 / OCT161101) by Glass and Olliffe from Aftershock. It’s one of those books that makes me smack my forehead and say, “Why didn’t I think of that?!” I’m also really loving what Dan Panosian is doing with Slots (Vol. 1 / SEP178402) from Image. Dan is a great inker, who turned into a great artist, who turned into a great writer!
