eMoviePoster has closed their December Major Auction, which featured 1,186 items from throughout film history and around the world. The auction totaled $668,932.

Part I was filled with 335 linen-backed one-sheets, ending at $167,278. Part II had 368 other linen-backed posters of all kinds and realized $116,913. Part III contained 483 posters, lobby cards, and more, that totaled at $384,741.

Top sales were Duck Soup style B half-sheet for $28,000, Adventures of Robin Hood linen-backed one-sheet for $15,511, Marilyn Monroe’s screen-worn shoes for $13,700, Return of the Jedi 24-sheet for $12,050, Mad magazine original art for $11,333, A Star is Born Oscar statue prop for $10,225, Josephine Baker French one-panel for $8,128, Jimi Hendrix BG-105 concert poster first printing for $6,830, and Bette Davis’ makeup stand for $6,750.

In 2020, eMoviePoster cut the number of auctions they run by half and still set a new yearly sales record at over $6 million. Full details on their record setting year can be found on eMoviePoster’s website.

They are now accepting consignments for their April Major Auction. Early submissions will be used for early advertising, which expose them for increased bidding. Because they receive multiple copies of popular items, eMoviePoster also encourages early consignments to improve the chance of having items featured in this auction.
