Admittedly, to be a comic book reader, you have to be a special breed. That is, usually, you have to be willing to go backward and forward in continuity – play catch up as best you can or get left behind by the ever-expanding funny book ecosystem.
Except, that’s not entirely true.
Yes, there are a lot of comics out there, but there are plenty of jumping on points because of that fact. Here are 5 titles hitting stores on April 25, 2018. Each are new series or the beginning of entirely new story arcs. Simply head to your comic shop and tell your store clerk, “Hey, I’d like to START HERE, please.”
Hunt for Wolverine #1
He’s been M.I.A. for quite some time, but you better believe that Wolverine isn’t down for the count!
The X-Men have finally accepted the loss of one of their key members when a terrible secret sends Marvel’s not-so-merry mutants on a Hunt for – yep…Wolverine (FEB180745)!
Silencer #4
The fan-favorite series begins a new story arc starting with the “Payback Time” storyline in Silencer #4 (FEB180154). Every hitman in the DCU is after Silencer, but she’s about to turn the tables on all of them.
Except for Deathstroke, though. Nobody turns the tables on Deathstroke, girl. Sorry.
Aliens: Dust to Dust #1
You know them as Xenomorphs, and if you know them then you know fear!
A massive colony evacuation is underway on LV-871! As colonizers flee the planet shuttle by shuttle, someone is bound to be left behind. Those someones are 12-year-old Maxon and his mother.
Better look alive Maxon, because your planet is crawling with Xenomorphs and a lesson in survival is imminent.
