Family Ties Get Severed

In Justin Jordan's The Family Trade #1 (AUG170534), those who have co-existed as an alliance of spies, thieves, and assassins are about to experience a family feud that's not fit for television. It's an unlikely scenario, as in tight-knit families people tend to know how they fit into the scheme of things, and they accept it. Business remains business, and you don't talk about business at the dinner table. Rules like that are universally understood. But such courtesy is something you've seen if you're watching a movie like The Godfather. And what we'd like to point out is that there are no cats to speak of in The Godfather.

That is where things go sideways from "normal" family matters in this new ongoing series that focuses on a young woman named Jessa Wynn, and how she lives on a floating city where taxis and streetlights work in a place without fire or electricity.

Strange days and even stranger science populate this tale of steampunk, alchemy, and adventure on the ocean. It is not a time of peace. It is a time of civil war, and Jessa Wynn, the youngest member of the family, is the one who lights the fire.
