With an art style still very true to what you have come to expect from Adhouse, this sci fi epic pairs modern indie black and white art with a thrilling, often weird space opera narrative. As a human vessel emerges from a mysterious dark void, they stumble upon an ancient spacecraft that dwarfs their own. With the ship damaged, the crew dying, and no choice but to dock with the ominous ship, the survivors uncover the remnants of a bizarre civilization more than ten thousand years old and lost in the vacuum of outer space.
Once, before humanity was out of its stone age, a race of advanced beings clashed with a pacifist cult over their would-be interference in Earth’s natural development. Now the descendants of those early humans have made their way into the stars and will uncover the secrets and the dangers of our origins.
From the creators of the critically acclaimed Ancestor and containing additional comics from Brandon Graham and Simon Roy, Expansion blends the best elements of gritty science fiction with the literary nuances one would expect from an Adhouse book.
