Metropolis Collectibles, one of the world’s largest vintage comic book dealers, smashed the record books with their sale of an Incredible Hulk #1 CGC 9.0 for $300,000. The comic features the first appearance of Bruce Banner and his then ashen alter-ego, the Incredible Hulk.

“The sale is a prime example of the incredible potential for growth in high grade, key issues,” Vincent Zurzolo, COO Metropolis said. “Just 15 years ago, a CGC 9.0 would sell for around $13,500 and this month, we brokered this deal for 22 times that amount.”
