If you've ever browsed through a PREVIEWS catalog, you know how packed full each issue can be. It's so packed, that you might have overlooked a choice comic tucked away on one of its many pages. Galaktikon #1

Brendon Smalls, the creative mind behind the Adult Swim animated hit Metalocalypse, comes back to comics with an all new series from Albatross Funnybooks that’s out of its mind and out of this world. Co-written with Eric Powell and based on the album of the same name, Galaktikon #1 (JUN171142follows the intergalactic hero of the universe – Triton. Life isn’t as great as it seems for this revered hero however as he faces the ultimate battle, coming to terms with his divorce.

The Customer is Always Wrong

Drawn & Quarterly is pulling back the curtain on minimum wage life with Mimi Pond’s latest graphic novel The Customer is Always Wrong (JUN171636). An epically comedic take on life as a waitress in late seventies Oakland, Pond folds the narrative of young Madge and the idiosyncrasies of her working life into an endearing tale. Fans of Pond’s graphic memoir Over Easy will be pleased to see the same brash and earnest style on display as a rotating cast of drunks, junkies, thieves, and creeps keep Madge on her waitressing toes.

Henry and Glenn Forever and Ever

The wait is over for fans of the greatest (fictional) love story in rock and roll as Tom Neely’s cult classic series is finally being released in a complete graphic novel. Henry and Glenn Forever and Ever (JUN171801) features 29 short stories and all new never-before-printed pages about the domestic life of two hard rock icons as they squabble over chores and deal with their parents, but who always make time to cuddle on the couch. With next door neighbors, the occasional Satanists and Yacht Rock icons Daryl and John, popping in from time to time, the fun adventures never end for this cute couple.

Josephine

It’s been over five years since Kevin Sacco’s critically acclaimed The Plane Story and now he’s back with an all new graphic novel from Amaze Ink. A completely wordless and grayscale tome, Josephine (JUN171152is a love letter to the nannies who helped to raise Kevin in a world writhing with the turmoil of the 1960’s Civil Rights movement. Following the title character and her young charge as they travel from the comfort of the boy’s Upper West Side home to Josephine’s neighborhood of Harlem, this story shines a gray light over a world struggling with black and white.
