Batman #21

Redneck #1

There’s nothing quite like good Southern barbecue, but would it still be as good if you knew it was vampires running the joint? Donny Cates and Lisandro Estherren are injecting some supernatural into their new series about a family of southern vampires in Redneck #1 (FEB170570). A simple story of a family just trying to get by, Redneck follows the Bowmans, a quiet family who run the local barbecue joint and also happen to be vampires. After generations of living peacefully off of cow’s blood, tensions begin to rise and the town is forced to ask itself, how can you separate man from the monster?

Shaolin Cowboy: Who’ll Stop the Reign #1

Geof Darrow’s Eisner Award-winning Dark Horse Comics series is back and the latest installment may just be the craziest yet in Shaolin Cowboy: Who’ll Stop the Reign #1 (FEB170011). The next chapter in this long running saga finds the Shaolin Cowboy on the road to hell – and it is not paved with good intentions. As the Cowboy runs into old nemeses bent on revenge he must deal with them the only way he knows how, with violence and his fists! Fans will love this new installment of the bloody and brutally funny story.

World Reader #1

AfterShock Comics’ new series is out of this world as writer Jeff Loveness and artist Juan Doe explore the universe in World Reader #1 (FEB171094). Exploring themes of death, sanity, and exploration, World Reader follows Sarah, an astronaut traveling from dead planet to dead planet looking for answers. As she fights to discover the secret that’s killing the universe she must also fight to maintain the trust of her crew and her own sanity. But death is coming for the Earth and only Sarah can save it from being the next planet to die.
