Flash #18

Joshua Williamson’s critically acclaimed run on The Flash continues with the start of “Sins of the Fathers” in Flash #18 (JAN170261). Luke and Danny return in the next chapter as the Heroes for Hire take on “Street Magic” in Power Man and Iron Fist #14 (JAN171019). The battle for Harlem continues and Luke Cage and Danny Rand are stuck in the middle of it. This time the duo must take on a foe like none they’ve dealt with before, and this time they’re in over their heads! These two powerhouses have a weak spot and it’s getting exposed as they try to take on magic in the streets of Harlem.

Hellboy and BPRD 1954: Ghost Moon #1

Mike Mignola’s creation returns in an all new mini-series from Dark Horse as the team travels to Asia in Hellboy and BPRD 1954: Ghost Moon #1 (JAN170099). A heavily researched look at the early British spy network in Hong Kong and China with supernatural adventure tied in, Mignola’s fans will be chomping at the bit for this imaginative take on Hellboy and the crew. Brought to Hong Kong on a favor from an old friend of Bruttenholm, the BPRD crew gets more than they expected as they battle the demons of the Walled City.

Low #16

Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini’s cult hit Image Comics series finally returns with Low #16 (JAN170703). Starting the all new story arc of “Outer Aspects of Inner Attitudes”, issue 16 delves into the history of Marik Caine and the new hero who has risen to replace him. Before he was swallowed by the darkness, Marik was a gladiator who brought hope to those in one of the darkest corners of the ocean. Now a new hero has risen out of the darkness of Poluma to carry on Marik’s legacy and bring hope back to the people.

Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys #1

Dynamite Entertainment is bringing Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys to comics, in an adult mystery unlike anything you’ve read before. Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys #1 (JAN171607) is full of murder, intrigue, double crosses, and deceit as Nancy fights to prove that Frank and Joe have been wrongly accused of killing their father. An adult take on these classic characters, fans of Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips (as well as Darwyn Cooke’s Parker series) will love the crime noir influences given to this murder mystery.
