Staff Picks (August): A Piggy’s Tale

Inspired by true events, A Piggy’s Tale is one of triumph and resiliency. While volunteering on a veterinary campaign in the Galapagos, writer Tod Emko discovered a limping, malnourished dog without a home. Deciding to take in the dog, Tod nicknamed him Piggy, and became captivated by his perseverance and lovable attitude.

Earlier in life, Piggy lost a leg, but that didn’t stop him from pushing forward. Within A Piggy’s Tale, Tod and artist Ethan Young (creator of Nanjing: The Burning City from Dark Horse) take the awe-inspiring story and transform him into a larger-than-life superhero, who is capable of any tall task.
