Original Lois Lane Actress Noel Neill Dies At 95

Noel Neill, the first actress to bring the character of Lois Lane to life on screen, has died at the age of 95 after a long battle with illness. Neill first starred alongside Kirk Alyn in a 15 episode serial based on Superman comics and both later reprised their roles in the 1950 serial Atom Man vs. Superman. Her largest role in the Superman canon came in 1953 when she was brought on as Lois Lane in the second season of Adventures of Superman with George Reeves. Even after her retirement, Neill was featued in several live action Superman projects including the 1978 Superman film, the Superboy television series, and in 2008's Superman Returns
